1. Son Tra Peninsula

Son Tra (Monkey) Peninsula is a breath-taking place in Da Nang that stands 693 meters above sea level. It’s a 35-minute drive from Da Nang, making it a popular retreat amongst locals and travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. 

Son Tra Peninsula is the nature reserve in rich diversity, protected under the nationally prohibited forest regime with many rare wild animals, especially pygathrix (red-shanked douc) is on the IUCN Red List of endangered species.

2. My Khe Beach:

My Khe Beach is located about 1.5km from Da Nang city center. 

It is a magnet for sun seekers and those who like the feel of sand between their toes. This is a stunning, tropical island style beach. Silky white sand and delightful palm trees, fringe the turquoise blue waters of the ocean. It is long, as well, seemingly going on forever. The mountains offer the perfect backdrop, making this a very special place.

 

3. Marble Mountain

Marble Mountain belongs to Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son, is far about 7 kilometers from Danang city to the Southeast. Ngu Hanh Son is located on the yellow sandbank with 2 kilometers length, 800 meters width. The kind of stone in Ngu Hanh Son has various colors and it is the source of sculpture and arts. 

Ngu Hanh Son includes 5 mountains: Kim Son (Metal Mountain), Thuy Son (Water Mountain), Moc Son (Wood Mountain), Hoa Son (Fire Mountain) and Tho Son (Earth Mountain). According to Oriental philosophy, metal, wood, water, fire and earth are five elements that create the universe. Five is a very important number in oriental mentality and life. And so, the five mountains that compose Marble Mountain are filled with mysterious.

 

4. Ba Na Hills

25 km to the southwest of Da Nang at an altitude of 1,487m, Ba Na Hills are considered as “One temperate place in the tropical forest” because the climate is cool all the year round and you can enjoy four seasons within a single day.

 

5. Hai Van Pass

A contender for the most famous road in Vietnam, the Hai Van Pass is a short but scenic route winding around a mountainside above the East Sea, on the central coast. It is famous for a number of reasons: as a geographic and political boundary between ancient kingdoms; as a climatic divide between the tropical south and the subtropical north; and as a strategic military post during times of war, both ancient and modern. But, most recently, the Hai Van Pass is famous, quite simply, as a great road trip linking the popular central Vietnamese destinations of Hoi An, Danang, and Hue.
